Julia Bell Swain
As many of you know, Max is currently in Galena, Illinois at the family home of his girlfriend Claire.
Galena is just across the might Mississippi from Dubuque, which just so happens to be a port of call for the steamboat Julia Bell Swain. As every good Eddy knows, this boat was the subject of a much beloved John Hartford song.
Plans were made to view the craft, however they had to be canceled. The floodwaters were too dangerous for the boat, and she is postponing all down-river trips until later in the year.
