Lafayette's Ninja Comic Burglar

To commemorate Comic Con this weekend in New York, being attended by some of the NYC branch of the family, I offer this bit of local comic book news. 35-year-old Mark Rowland was sentenced on Thursday for breaking into Castle Comics in Lafayette on June 17, 2009. He was arrested because the store owner's son heard someone attempting to saw through the shop's door. Mr. Rowland was found nearby covered in insulation from the door. At the time of his arrest Mr. Rowland was dressed entirely in black and had Chinese throwing stars in his pockets. Inadequate ninja training got him 11 years. Here's the news story.
