A Month of Smears

How does everyone feel about a month of smears of Obama by the McCain campaign, evidently to be spearheaded by the insufferable Sarah Palin? She and McCain are talking about focusing on exposing the "real Obama" in the remaining weeks. Who do they think we've been seeing for the lat two years? It will certainly be a low ending to a campaign that had some very inspirational moments. Thank you, Karl Rove.

I couldn't believe it when I read about the McCain/Palin circus trying to link Obama to the Weathermen. That, coupled with JOE McCain's comments about my part of Virginia ("Communist Country.") got me thinking about how out of date these guys really are. Americans aren't afraid of rebellious college students, or commies anymore. It's like they're running a campaign circa 1960.

You may want to check out fivethirtyeight.com today, as they report from Tippecanoe County.

Thanks for the tip on the fivethirtyeight story, Jamie. I put it up on the www.tippdems.org website. It's pretty cool to be living in a battleground state!
