Mark Remembered in Federated Service

Federated Church does a service on Halloween or, as Pastor David Mills prefers, the Eve of All Hallows, that memorializes all those who have passed away in the previous year. They are all mentioned in a liturgy in which the minister speaks a one-sentence remembrance to which the congregation responds, "We claim the victory of the Lord." David contacted Mom for some ideas for Mark; she mentioned his playing bluegrass music, his devotion to family, and his faith. Then she talked to Karen who thought his Rototiller should be worked in: "In the spring he loved that thing as much as he did us." With that input, here is what David came up with:

"Mark Eddy who in plucking bluegrass tunes and plowing ground, sowed seeds of himself in those about him."

That seemed about right to us.
